YMCA Faridabad was founded in the year 1969 as a YMCA College Faridabad. It gained the status of university in December 2009, and in 2017, has been renamed to J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology after the name of well-known scientist Jagdish Chandra Bose.
The university is approved as 'A Grade' by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
